100 MOLAR SOLUTION OR H2SO4 FROM SUPPLIED H2SO4 SOLUTION (SPECIFIC GRAVITY 1’8’, PURITY98%)

Picture
Principle : Molar solution contains gm molecular weight of a substance in 1L of solution gm molecular weight of substance is 98gm h2so4 in 1L of solution. So, 100ml of molar solution of h2so4 will contain 9.8gm h2s04.
Requirements :
                  a.chemical : h2so4, distil water.
b.Apparatus : graduated pipette, funnel, volumetric flask.
Procedure : Few ml of distil water is taken in to the volumetric flask 5.55ml of the supplied h2s04 is measure with the graduated pipette and  transfer the volumetric flask is shake well. Then the water added up  to 100ml mark of volumetric flask and shake well thus the desired solution  is prepared.

Precaution :
a.Graduated pipette with pipette filter should be used carefully to avoid burn.b.We should not pour water over acid during.
Preparation of solution : Lower end of the meniscus of water should be take into count.

100ML 1M OF HCL SOLUTION FROM SUPPLIED HCL SOLUTION (SPECIFIC GRAVITY 1.2 & PURITY 97%)

Picture
Principle : Normal solution in which 1gm equivalent weight of solute is present in 1L of solution. The gm equivalent weight of HCL is 36.5gm. So,100ml of 1N HCL solution will contains 36.5gm of HCL.
Requirements :
a.Chemical : HCL solution, distilled water,
b.Apparatus : Graduated pipette with pipette filter, volumetric flask, Dropper.Procedure : Few ml of distilled water is taken in to the volumetric flask. 3.13ml of the supplied HCL is measure with the graduated pipette and transfer to The volumetric flask containing distilled water. Then the volumetric flask will shake well. Then the water added into 100ml mark of volumetric flask & shake well thus the desired solution is prepared.Precaution : a.Graduated pipette with pipette filter should be used carefully to avoid burn.b.We should not pour water over acid during preparation.c.Lower end of the solution meniscus of water should be count.
